Strong increase mortgage fraud
AMSTERDAM (DUTCH PRESS AGENCY) - the banks have observed
in 2004,1500 frauduleuze mortgage applications. That is 50 per
cent more than in the previous year. Director R. van Kesteren of
the foundation fraude control mortgages (SHF) has confirmed that
Friday. SHF are a cooperation bond of mortgage banks according
to Van Kesteren lie the number of frauduleuze mortgage applications in
reality higher, because they are not all discovered. Of the 1500
applications where were that previous year, however, the case, a
quarter was just observed after the mortgage had been already granted.
