Dogs more often insured than cats
Spent: 7 July 2004 14.04 ALKMAAR - dogs have been
more often insured against medical expenses than cats. Only
14,000 of 2.5 the million cats in the Netherlands get compensated for
a treatment by the veterinary surgeon. Of 1.5 the million dogs
is there more than 36,000 insured against medical expenses. More
and more people conclude such an insurance. That has animal
insurer animal & care, a dochterbedrijf of SNS let know reaal,
Wednesday. It is converted 0.6 per cent of the cats and 2.4
percent of the dogs it has been insured against medical interventions.
Animal & care expect that it concludes this year 20,000
policies, wide 43 percents more than previous year. Then 14,000
policies for dogs and cats were concluded.

company the NHZ see still nothing of the increasing interest. '

health insurance for house animals costs on average between 10 and the
15 euro per month, depending on of the age and the weight. The
maximum compensation amounts to 1250 euro by disorder at NHZ.
