Italian shortage shoots omhoog after crosses out trucs

2005 12.14 BRUSSELS/Luxembourg - the Italian government has applied
accounting trucs in 2003, and in 2004, to keep the budget deficit
under Eu-norm. The statistic office of the Union, Eurostat, has
obtained Monday a line by the cleaned figures. The shortage of
Italy ends up in new calculations on 3.1 percent, both in 2003, and
previous year. With that overtreedt Rome the rules, which
prescribe that EU countries must restrict the breach in their budget
up to 3 per cent of the Gross Domestic Product. Those rules have
been established for the introduction of the euro, because high
shortages can lead to a higher interest for all eurocountries.
Italy had officially reported to ' Brussels ' it shortage in
2003, to that within the European forks lay, on 2.4 percent.

Commission, the daily governing board of the EU, lies however already
