Univar book more turnover and profit
ROTTERDAM (DUTCH PRESS AGENCY) - Univar have last year
booked a nettowinst of 65 millions dollar, or almost 50 millions euro.
That becomes clear from the provisional figures which the
distributor of chemical substances has published Friday. In
2003, the nettowinst of the quoted on the stock exchange company 42.2
amounted to million dollar.
Also the income of Univar has increased in 2004. The
turnover of the venture in Rotterdam came from on 5.28 billion dollar.
In the previous exercise Univar gained a turnover of 4.72
billion dollar.
Beside the higher turnover Univar profited of a lake
efficiënte working method, higher price in the chemistry sector
and the exchange rates.
The last mentioned factor unpacked favourably for Univar,
because the company is results in dollars presents. Furthermore
also the tax assessment burst out less high than Univar had adopted.
The distributor has been accelerated with annual returns to
outside come because of the living trade in the share on the grant in
Amsterdam.
The rate of Univar has increased since beginning this year by
approximately 18 per cent and the trade volumes have doubled in that
period.
