Violin Krebbers to instrument fund
AMSTERDAM - the violin of Herman Krebbers goes to the
foundation nationally music instruments fund. This fund gives
instruments in bruikleen to musicians. Krebbers have had the
violin more than one half century in its possession. The
instrument is most expensive that the fund has bought ever.
Krebbers played approximately are complete professional life on
the violin. It is Bergonzi so-called, from Cremona. The
bovenblad are of Carlo Bergonzi (1683-1747), which worked with the
most important violin makers Amati and Stradivarius. He
inherited also Stradivarius workshop. The achterblad were made
Carlo's zoon Michelangelo.
Krebbers transfer the violin on 15 April to the fund.
