Texas instrument lift above expectation
AMSTERDAM (DFT) - the American chip maker Texas instrument
has slightly performed in the first trimester of this year above
expectation.
The profit by share ended up on $0,24. analysts had counted on
$0,23. the profit amounted to $ 411 millions, an increase of 12 per
cent in comparison with the same period a year ago. For the
second trimester Texas provide instrument wpa with $025-0,29.
The turnover was, however, what lower than expects. Those
ended up on $2,97 billion, whereas analysts had counted on 2.99
billion.
The turnover was unchanged in comparison with the first
trimester of 2004. The share stood nabeurs 5 per cent higher.
Texas instrument warned to year earlier this that converts and
profit by share in the first trimester could burst out lower.
Reason was the disappointing question to chips for televisions
