Banks raise mortgage interest
Districtdistrict DISTRICT (DUTCH PRESS AGENCY) - the fall
of the mortgage interest is behind the back. A group in second
half of April a point behind a range interest lowerings has put
authoritative mortgage proposers. The important player Rabobank
put Wednesday 0.2 percent point on the tariff for a mortgage with
interest-fixed period of five years. The tariff of this popular
interest ends up as a result, on 4.3 percent.
Insurer Aegon follows Thursday with an interest increase.
The company raises the tariff for the same mortgage up to 4.4
percent. ING bank went the two competitors earlier these yielded
by accelerating the interest up to 4.5 percent, with which the tariff
0.3 percent point more expensive became.
SNS reaal and Fortis recently also repaired to their tariffs.
At SNS a mortgage with interest-fixed period of five years costs
at present 4.1 percent, whereas Fortis have put the interest on 4.2
percent. In all cases it concerns a combination with a national
mortgage guarantee.
Probably several other proposers will adapt their tariffs soon
also. The mortgage suppliers feel the cost increases on the
